A Wise Woman

Girls, read these and pray that the Lord would reveal which areas you lack in. Let us all strive to be young women totally surrendered to Christ.

Traits of a wise woman (huge thanks to Mary A. Kassian author of Girls Gone Wise in a World Gone Wild):

• Christ is central. (Psalm 44:18)
• Word instructed not world instructed. (Psalm 1:1-2)
• Her love story is God-orchestrated not self manipulated (Proverbs 3:5-6)
• She possesses a gentle, quiet, calm and amenable attitude in every situation. (1 Peter 3:4)
• She is self disciplined in her habits. (Proverbs 31:27)
• She gives before she gets. (Proverbs 31:20)
• She dresses modestly, becoming, and moderate and is clothed in Christ. (1 Timothy 2:9) (Romans 13:14)
• She is demure in her body language. (Proverbs 31:30)
• Inclined to follow, not inclined to dominate. (1 Peter 3:4-6)
• Her sexual conduct is pure and honorable towards her brothers. (1 Thes. 4:4-6)
• She guards her heart and does not leave herself susceptible. (Proverbs 22:3)
• She is genuine not two-faced. (Proverbs 10:9)
• She depends on God to fulfill her longings in HIS TIME, and not on man on HER TIME. (Psalm 37:4)
• She spends her money wisely; usually on others. Her possessions are not hers.(Proverbs 31:20-22)
• She forfeits gratification rather than demands it when she serves. (Luke 9:23)
• She is dependable on her commitments. (Proverbs 31:11)
• Her speech is not too much. She listens before she speaks because what others have to say is always more important than her voice in the matter. (1 Peter 3:10)
• She is a positive influence in the lives of those around her. (Proverbs 13:20)
• She has the ability to sustain a relationship. (Proverbs 14:1)
• She is teachable and is easily corrected. She knows she isn't always right. (Proverbs 15:31)

Thank you Lord for womanhood and for the beauty that every daughter of Yours possesses. Help me to pursue You, and to be daily molded into what You have created me to be, Father. I love you, always.
