Lifting Up Tuscaloosa

So many of you have probably heard about the devastation that took place in Tuscaloosa yesterday, as well as many other cities in Alabama and Mississippi.  I'll be honest, when I first heard that a tornado was coming directly towards some of my best friends in the world, I underestimated it. I treated it like it was "no big deal" and that it would just blow over like all of the other storms that come through Alabama... and that was NOT the case. Here are some pictures that my friend Stefanie took that show the devastation in Tuscaloosa:

When I heard about the destruction that the tornado had truly done to Tuscaloosa, my heart became so heavy. So many families who lost everything. So many people hurting, crying out in desperation.  My heart is broken for you all.

Father, even now You are our Sovereign King. My heart aches for these people Lord. I know that all of this is in Your will, and that truly is what I desire over all. Let Your will be done and I earnestly pray that each person effected by this will see You shining brightly in the darkness. Father, I pray that you would bring about great restoration and provide strength to your people so that they can consider their hardships pure joy. I will praise you in this storm. I love you, Lord. Amen.
