Do Something NOW.

So... I just might be the worst blogger in the history of bad bloggers. It's not that I don't have anything to say through blogging, it's just that I forget that I have a blog in the first place! ha but after many months of neglect, I am back in business... I think!

Well first off, I just returned with 5 of my great friends from a Christian conference in Atlanta, GA called Passion. For me, this was much more than just a conference or event. This experience allowed me to be convicted, aware, excited, shocked, amazed, called, loved, and able. I left not just hearing but actually knowing and realizing that God's call for me is so much greater than anything that I could ever plan for myself! I also learned how complex mine and also everyone's brains are and how we ALL have the capacity to learn and remember so many things! With that being said, I feel convicted to memorize more of scripture. Not just verses, but parables, passages, chapters, and even books of the Bible. This might sound outrageous, but Luke 1:37 says "For nothing is impossible with God." I want to be able to truly live out what 1 Peter 3:15 says and always be able to give someone an answer for the reason that I have so much hope.

On the last day of Passion, I had the opportunity to talk with a volunteer for a few minutes. She told me that she was SO encouraged by all of the College age people that truly loved the Lord and were willing to be bold for Him. So many older people today believe that our generation is the one that is going to send this world in a greater downward spiral than even before. I believe that we are a "Chosen Generation" and that He is going to ultimately use my generation for His divine purposes and His Glory!

Mind boggling fact: There are more slaves in the world right now than at ANY point in time. Does that not just make your heart tremble? I mean, there are people in the world right now being sold into sex trafficking while we sip on our $4 Starbucks coffee. This just breaks my heart. How can we be so blind to the hurt and cry of the world around us? Thankfully, there is an agency called International Justice Mission that provides rescues for these women! My friends and I had the awesome opportunity to contribute to the work that they are doing in a small part by giving a donation. Passion exceeded the goal set forth for IJM!! http://www.ijm.org/

So, if you are still reading this even after all of my rambling, I want to encourage you as a reader to seek God with all of your being every day in every single thing you do. If you do, YOU WILL FIND HIM. (Deuteronomy 4:29) Also, I challenge you to do something for the Kingdom. Let God surprise you with how able you are.

In Him,

LAS
